The squaring of the circle ...
... that was the task we were supposed to fulfill in the entrance area of the Douglas perfumery in the Rhine-Neckar Centre in Viernheim. How could an industry door meet the optical and functional requirements of a fully glazed and semicircular facade?
The requirements in detail:
-
The shop has to be safely and reliably secured outside of the opening hours. Nevertheless, a continuous glance at the assortment of goods has to be guaranteed.
-
During the opening process, the entrance elements shall completely vanish into the ceiling area at the push of a button and the entire entrance width shall be available at the customer's disposition.
-
There has to be a possibility to open the door in times of power failure.
-
A bottom rail mustn't be used. In case of opened door, the lateral guide rail construction shall not be perceptible as such.
-
The risk of dirtying one's clothes when touching the guide rail construction has to be excluded for both employees and customers.
-
The maintenance intensity was to be limited to once a year at a maximum.
Therefore, highest demands regarding design and functionality were to be met!
Already in the planning phase it became clear that the stacking door type 46 AHS with VSG glazing entirely meets the requirements.
The exclusive, hingeless aluminium frame rung door has been designed for highest demands regarding design and stability. It is especially suitable for car dealerships, arcades, banks, airports and galleries.
The visual appearance of the doors was adapted to the curved facade.
Planning, construction, manufacturing and commissioning of the doors were executed by the HILD Tortechnik GmbH. Due to the use of high-quality materials, a clever construction and the neat work of our craftsmen, we have put the requirements into practice - in due time and to the utmost satisfaction of our client.
