In reality, these media which have so far been used to identify a person cannot only be used by the owner himself. A voluntary or unvoluntary passing on of the necessary data to other persons cannot be excluded in these cases, so that these facilities should nowadays not be used any more in areas with high security requirements.
Today there is a need of reliable identification in nearly all areas where properties or persons must be protected. No enterprise and no private individual wants their mental or material values to be exposed to insufficient protection and thus to unlimited access for everybody.
TOCA offers those values the greatest possible protection, it increases user comfort and lowers the costs in comparison with the means of identification used so far.
TOCA is based on unique human characteristics and is therefore the currently safest method of authentication. TOCA transforms unique human characteristics, such as a fingerprint, into an electronic key, which can be used for authentification in various fields. As TOCA does not save any pictures of the fingerprints, but only uses the key developed from those pictures, no data can be abused and intercept via electronic data traffic.
Depending on the customers wishes and the area of use, TOCA can be combined with diverse biometric technologies, with company or private uses respectively. It is due to this openness of the system that the optimal biometric technology can be integrated in any case. This ensures that a flexible reaction to all future developments will always be possible.
Personal access methods are comfortably replaced by TOCAaccess. Keys, passwords, PINs etc. cannot be forgotten or lost any more. Flats, houses, high-security areas, vaults, safes, gun lockers etc. can be individually equipped with TOCAaccess.
TOCAaccess light and light+ consist of an interior unit (IU - for controlling, recording and deleting users) and a scanning unit (AU – for recording fingerprints and transformation into a key code). From the moment of initialisation both units are connected with one another via definite codes. The interior unit is connected with 230V AC via an adapter. It is also connected with the scanner by a quadripolar cable. Furthermore, a potential-free contact is forwarded to the door opener.
The authorised user passes his finger over the scanner. This key code is checked and if a corresponding key code is registered, the door will be opened.
