Energy-Saving is Trendy! Print

Technical improvements of heating systems, economical machines and insulating of buildings are the order of the day. That is because 60 % of the total energy consumption fall upon the room heating.

Door openings of workshops and car dealerships play a significant role in respect of energy losses. Insulated sectional and overhead folding doors meet the required noise and heat insulation values. But the rising glazing percentage reaching more light and view poses a problem when weaker products are applied. This is where the manufacturer saves and the secundary costs have to be borne by the building owner or hirer.

With our „energy glazing“ we offer a better and future-proof solution: The threefold glazing with a total depth of 29 mm makes a decisive contribution to the insulation values prescribed by the Heat Insulation Ordinance. This depth is allowed by the application of 46 mm thick hollow profiles made of aluminium.

All panes can optionally be coated by a nano surface coating with embedded silicate particles. This nanometer-small elements result in a glass-similar and a very scratch-resistant surface with simultaneous enhancement of the chemical resistance and the optical brilliance and thus close the gap towards pure glass systems. And this with a fractional amount of weight and considerably higher impact resistance

This system is based on a development of the Fraunhofer institute for surface technology and has especially been optimised for the application in doors.
